In this day and age of gaming, technology is more accessible than ever. Gaming accessories are relatively cheaper nowadays than ever before. However, if you look closer, there is an important accessory that has not received this treatment. Joysticks are an important accessory when it comes to gaming. In today’s review, we are going to look at the RedGear Pro Series wired gamepad, and see how it compares with conventional joystick makers, and if it is worth buying at it’s price.
The RedGear joystick comes with 2 analog sticks and 11 digital keys in an all matte black design with red accents. The ABXY keys, which are the main control keys, are illuminated. This helps massively with gaming in the dark. It also comes with a USB A stick that connects to the PC / Laptop for wireless connectivity.
The design seems to have been heavily inspired by the design of the XBOX 360 controller, with the left trigger at the top left of the joystick rather than the traditional center. The joystick can take a hit and it is quite durable. Sweat and grease stains on the joystick is barely visible, so it is already better than both the PlayStation and Xbox joysticks at that front. It performs well without lags and hiccups.
At a price of INR 1,700, it is a steal especially when all the other quality joysticks on the market are priced at INR 3,000 and above. Our recommendation is if you have a need for a quality wireless joystick and you are in a budget, go for this joystick without question.
